2017 Chevy Sonic – St. Louis Dealer Review

Chevrolet Sonic

This fall Chevrolet dealers across the nation will take delivery of the all new 2017 Chevy Sonic. This new model has been restyled to reinforce its position as a fun, efficient, compact car loaded with technology. Designed to attract a younger demographic, the Sonic brings younger customers to the brand. More than 20 percent of Chevrolet customers who purchase a Sonic are younger than 35 years old and have traded in a non-GM vehicle. The Sonic is also a popular choice as a first-time new buyer vehicle.

The new 2017 Chevrolet Sonic sedan will be offered with a choice of three trims: LS, LT and Premier. The new Sonic hatchback will be available in a choice of LT and Premier trims. An available Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine and six-speed automatic or manual transmission will also be offered with the new model. Other new features include a 7-inch diagonal infotainment system, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatibility, Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless open/start and a first in its segment, power driver’s seat.

Safety features for the new Sonic include 10 standard air bags, electronic stability control, antilock braking, rear park assist and a rearview camera. Available Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning systems have also been integrated into this new model to alert drivers of potential crash situations.

Perhaps the best feature of the new Sonic is it’s price. As one of Chevrolet’s most affordable small cars the current model has a starting MSRP under $15,000.
