2016 Chevrolet Cruze vs 2016 Ford Focus

There are a few options on the market for a compact car that’s family friendly, fuel-efficient, and designed to work with the road in style, but none more so than the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze! While it’s competitor the 2016 Ford Focus offers some pretty standard features, it falls short when placed side-by-side with the Cruze. Check out some of the differences between the two and then come on down to Weber Chevrolet and check out the car that’s right for you!

Interior Quality and Comfort

The 2016 Ford Focus offers seating for five with 33.2 inches of rear legroom and a 60/40 split folding rear seat for rearrangement purposes. The cabin is well designed and thoughtful, but it doesn’t have as much room as the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze does with its 36.1 inches of rear legroom. Three inches might not seem like that big of a deal but ask someone tall who has ever had to be in the back seat on a long trip, three inches can feel like a million! Not only that but the Chevy Cruze has an acoustically laminated windshield to help keep the cabin quiet and comfortable. With leather headrest options and the higher quality materials used on the interior, it’s hard not to choose the Cruze over the Focus for comfort’s sake alone!

Economical and Powerful

The 2016 Ford Focus offers a seemingly more powerful engine at 2.0L four-cylinders, compared to the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze’s 1.4 turbo four-cylinder, but that’s because you’re forgetting that there’s no “turbo” after the Focus’s 2.0L. The Focus gets an estimated 36 MPG, which is nothing to sneeze at, but the Cruze gets a whopping 41 MPG making it the clear winner in the fuel-efficiency category!

Technology When and Where You Need It

The 2016 Ford Focus and the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze offer similar technology in their new compact cars. Everything from USB ports, to Bluetooth, to phone syncing capabilities, but the Cruze adds a little more. It offers a larger touch screen (7-inches to the Focus’s 4.5), and the real bonus is the available 4G LTE WiFi so that you can be the hotspot no matter where you are! The Focus is a good car, but the Cruze is a Fantastic car with incredible perks. Check one out at Weber Chevrolet and you’ll wonder why you were even questioning it in the first place!
