2016 Malibu vs 2015 Malibu
When you think “Malibu” do you think warm sand beaches, palm trees, and famous people with the BMI of a Barbie doll? Or do you think turbocharged 1.5L ECOTECH engine, room enough for a basketball team, 47 city MPG, and a sleek aerodynamic driving machine? Yeah, Barbies and beaches are cool, but nothing beats the thrill of driving something as purposefully engineered as the Chevrolet Malibu. Whether you’re considering the 2015 or the 2016 model you won’t be disappointed. At Weber Chevrolet, we know how great these vehicles are and we are here to help you make the right choice for you! Check out some of the differences and similarities that make the Malibu a great!
Heavyweight vs Featherweight
The sleek, sporty design remains similar between both models but the 2016 has lost a lot of weight. 300 pounds to be exact. With new stronger, yet lighter material the frame of the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is structurally sound and dynamically engineered. Its new body makes it lighter on the road and we all know that lighter equals more speed. Not only is it stronger and faster, but taking the weight off takes a load off the engine as well so that it is able to function stronger and with more fuel-efficiency. Not only is it lighter, but it also is longer so that you have more cargo space, and the passengers in the back seat get 1.3” more legroom, and that can make all the difference in the world. Come test drive one for yourself at Weber Chevrolet, and feel the difference.
Sync Up and Get Going
With Chevy you expect the best, and on the technology end, they have it all. From Bluetooth to 4G LTE WiFi right there in your own car, to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, to OnStar RemoteLink, the Chevy Malibu 2015 and 2016 models can pretty much do more than you can do at home. Hop in, sync up, and enjoy the ride!
Under the Hood
It really doesn’t matter which year you choose as far as engines go, they’re all powerful, fuel-efficient and raring to go! The 2015 offers 2.5L four-cylinder 196-hp engine that gets an estimated 36 highway MPG. With the 2016 they’ve stepped it up just a bit and now have a 1.5L four-cylinder 200-hp engine that gets 37 highway MPG. Slightly more powerful, but not enough to make the decision a done deal. The bottom line is with Chevrolet Malibu you’re always going to get a finely crafted machine that runs like a dream. Now it’s time to make it your dream come true!
