Also included are LED daytime running lights, LED head- and taillights, a manual liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, and upper active aero shutters. The LT trim adds a hands-free power liftgate, while the RST trim features 22-inch aluminum wheels and wheel locks. The Z71 trim boasts off-road-ready features like front skid plates, tow hooks, and all-terrain tires, while the Premier trim features black assist steps and an auto-dimming driver-side mirror. With the High Country trim, you'll get luxury items like 22-inch Sterling Silver premium painted wheels and a special grille with bronze accents.

Engine (Power)

You can choose from three engines with the Suburban. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 that produces a generous output of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, followed by a 6.2-liter V-8 that produces a spirited 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. There's also an optional Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel that generates an output of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission system and front-wheel drive come standard, except for the Z71 trim, which features a four-wheel-drive system.

Performance

The 2023 Suburban boasts the first-in-class Four Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension system, which allows you to adjust the vehicle's ride height according to the conditions. When you're driving over rough terrain, you can raise the Suburban for increased clearance. When you want enhanced aerodynamics and efficiency, you can lower the vehicle. You can also lower the Suburban when parked for easier entry and exit.

Interior

The Suburban has a roomy cabin that features best-in-class second-row legroom, more space in the third row, and a best-in-class cargo volume. The cabin also boasts clever storage solutions, such as a power-sliding center console that automatically slides back up to 10 inches to open a hidden storage drawer. The standard 10.2-inch infotainment system features all the bells and whistles, including a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, six speakers, Bluetooth, HD Radio, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The base trim comes with a long list of standard equipment, such as power-adjustable front seats, cargo management system, cruise control, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The base Suburban also includes keyless open and start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start, cloth upholstery, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Higher trims add luxuries like leather upholstery, a head-up display, heated rear seats, and memory settings. To make the kids happy, opt for the available rear-seat media system with dual 12.6-inch touch screens.
